Issued on 15 November 1984 by the Central Bank of Bolivia during the Peso Boliviano period, this 10,000 Pesos note features a portrait of Túpac Katari, the indigenous leader and symbol of anti-colonial resistance, on the obverse. The background includes ornate, multicolor guilloché designs in brown, red, and green tones.

The reverse showcases the Q’oa markina festival scene, depicting Aymara dancers in traditional costume, highlighting Bolivia’s rich indigenous heritage. The note is printed on cotton paper and incorporates multiple security features: a watermark of Túpac Katari, a solid metallic security thread, and blue UV-fluorescent fibers.

This banknote measures 155 × 65 mm and was widely circulated until the currency changeover in 1987.
