Issued by the Central Bank of Bolivia in 1984, this 50,000 Pesos note belongs to the peso boliviano series in circulation at that time. The obverse features a portrait of Andrés de Santa Cruz, a former Supreme Protector of the Peru–Bolivian Confederation, depicted with fine engraving and a background of multicolored guilloché patterns in muted green and brown hues.

On the reverse, the note illustrates a scene from the Titicaca reed boat (Totora) tradition, showing fishermen navigating a traditional reed vessel on Lake Titicaca—a tribute to Bolivia’s indigenous and lacustrine culture.

Printed on cotton-based paper, the note incorporates several security elements: a watermark of Andrés de Santa Cruz, a solid metallic security thread, and blue UV-fluorescent fibers to aid verification.

The note measures 155 × 65 mm and remained in circulation until the currency reform of 1987.
