The 50 Kroner 2015 banknote was issued by Danmarks Nationalbank as part of the modern series celebrating Danish culture and heritage.
The obverse features a portrait of King Christian IV (1577–1648), one of Denmark’s most famous monarchs, accompanied by intricate guilloché patterns and the denomination in numerals and words.
The reverse depicts Roskilde Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site and royal burial place, symbolizing Denmark’s historical and architectural legacy.
Printed on cotton-based paper, the note includes a watermark, security thread, microprinting, and color-shifting elements for anti-counterfeiting.
Dimensions: 125 × 72 mm.
