On the obverse, it depicts the Al-Rifa’i Mosque in Cairo, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture from the 19th century, known for its grand domes and intricate decorative details. Arabic calligraphy and ornamental patterns frame the central vignette.
The reverse presents an image of the Pharaoh Khafre seated on his throne, inspired by ancient Egyptian statuary, along with hieroglyphic motifs and lotus designs, representing the country’s Pharaonic heritage.
