The 20 Dalasis 2019 banknote was issued by the Central Bank of The Gambia as part of the modern Dalasi series.
The obverse features a portrait of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, the first President of The Gambia, accompanied by the national coat of arms and decorative security patterns.
The reverse depicts peanut harvesting, highlighting one of the country’s key agricultural products and its significance to the Gambian economy.
The note is printed on cotton-based paper and includes a watermark of Sir Dawda Jawara, a security thread, and microprinting for anti-counterfeiting protection.
