The obverse shows a Guineafowl (Numida meleagris), a recurring national symbol, with the Gambian coat of arms and enhanced security features.
The reverse depicts rice farmers working in a field, highlighting the country’s agricultural economy and community labor traditions.
Security features include a windowed security thread, watermark of a Guineafowl, holographic elements, and microprinting.
