The 3000 Lari 1993 banknote was part of Georgia’s provisional Kuponi series, issued in the early 1990s after independence. Due to extreme hyperinflation, very high denominations such as this were introduced before the 1995 monetary reform.
The obverse shows intricate ornamental and geometric patterns, printed mainly in green and violet tones, without portraits or national figures, in line with other Kuponi notes.
The reverse also displays abstract and decorative motifs, consistent with the emergency design style of the issue.
This note circulated only briefly before being replaced in 1995 by the reformed Georgian Lari (GEL).
