Kyrgyzstan 100 Som 2024 UNC Banknote
The Kyrgyzstan 100 Som 2024 banknote was introduced into circulation on 15 February 2024 by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the Fifth Series celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Som. While preserving the familiar design of earlier issues, the new series incorporates state-of-the-art security features to improve protection against counterfeiting.
Presented in UNC (Uncirculated) condition, this is one of the newest circulating banknotes from Central Asia and an outstanding addition to any modern world currency collection.
Historical Background
The Fifth Series was introduced between 2023 and 2024 to modernize Kyrgyzstan’s circulating banknotes while maintaining their cultural identity. The 100 Som entered circulation on 15 February 2024, alongside the new 20 and 50 Som denominations.
The updated series preserves portraits of Kyrgyz cultural figures and important national landmarks while introducing a new three-level security system designed to meet modern banking standards.
