The 10,000 Pesos banknote, introduced on May 7, 2024, by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), is the highest denomination in circulation in Argentina. This uncirculated note is part of the “Heroines and Heroes of the Nation” series and features the portraits of Manuel Belgrano and María Remedios del Valle, both pivotal figures in Argentina’s War of Independence. The reverse side depicts the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag ceremony held on February 27, 1812. Printed on 100% cotton paper, the note measures 155 x 65 mm and incorporates advanced security features such as a windowed security thread, watermark, optical variable ink, latent image, and tactile elements for the visually impaired.
