The 1000 Pesos banknote issued in 2020 by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (Banco Central de la República Argentina) is part of the “Native Fauna” series. It features a vertical design showcasing the Rufous Hornero—Argentina’s national bird—on the obverse, alongside floral elements and its iconic nest. The reverse side displays the Pampa landscape and a map of Argentina. Printed on 100% cotton paper, this uncirculated note includes advanced security features such as a color-shifting thread, watermark, microprinting, and UV-reactive fibers. First circulated on December 1, 2017, this is the highest denomination in the series and remains in use today.
