The 5 Australes banknote issued in 1989 by the Central Bank of Argentina was part of the final series before the return to the Peso, during a time of intense hyperinflation. This uncirculated note features national symbols and historic iconography reflecting Argentina’s cultural identity amid economic upheaval. A fascinating piece of late‑80s Latin American monetary history and an essential collectible for serious numismatists.
