The 20 Manat banknote, introduced on February 10, 2022, by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, is dedicated to the theme of “Karabakh” and features symbols of strength and peace. On the obverse, it displays a sword, helmet, shield, and the Khari Bulbul flower—a Karabakh-native emblem—alongside two doves symbolizing peace. The reverse shows a stylized map of Azerbaijan overlaid with national carpet patterns.
Measuring 141 × 70 mm, printed on paper, it incorporates upgraded security features: a 3D hologram, dynamic Spark Live foil, RollingStar® windowed thread, color-shifting numerals, tactile elements, ultrafine patterns, microprinting, blind embossing, UV markers, and intaglio printing.
