Issued on 1 January 2000 by the National Bank of Belarus as part of the “second ruble” series, this 100 Rubles banknote features on the obverse the Minsk City Hall, depicted in a detailed engraving with shades of brown and beige. The reverse side displays the coat of arms of Belarus, framed by intricate ornamental patterns.
The banknote is printed on 100% cotton paper and includes a hexagonal-pattern watermark, a solid security thread, and red UV-fluorescent fibers for enhanced security. The size of the note is 150 × 69 mm. It remained in circulation until it was withdrawn on 1 July 2016.
