Issued on November 14, 2022, by the National Bank of Cambodia, this 200 Riels banknote is part of the modern series featuring cultural symbols and advanced security elements. The obverse displays the Royal Coat of Arms of Cambodia, a naga (mythical serpent) head, and a youthful portrait of King Norodom Sihamoni. Inscriptions appear in both Khmer and Latin scripts, including the warning: “Counterfeiters of banknotes will be punished according to the law.”

The reverse shows the Moonlight Pavilion (Preah Thineang Chan Chhaya) of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh alongside the statue of King Sisowath, sculpted by Paul Ducuing and housed in the National Museum of Cambodia. Inscriptions are also in Khmer and Latin.
