The 100 Pesos 2023 banknote was issued by the Banco Central de Cuba as part of the latest modern series, celebrating national heroes and cultural heritage.
The obverse features a portrait of José Martí (1853–1895), Cuba’s national hero, poet, and revolutionary leader, surrounded by intricate guilloché patterns and the denomination in numerals and words.
The reverse depicts the National Capitol Building (Capitolio) in Havana, symbolizing Cuba’s historical and architectural legacy, alongside national motifs.
Printed on cotton-based paper, the note includes a José Martí watermark, security thread, and microprinting for anti-counterfeiting.
Dimensions: 156 × 65 mm.
