The 3 Pesos 2005 banknote was issued by the Banco Central de Cuba as part of a commemorative series honoring Ernesto “Che” Guevara (1928–1967), revolutionary leader and iconic figure of Cuban history.
The obverse features a detailed portrait of Che Guevara, surrounded by intricate guilloché patterns and the denomination in numerals and words.
The reverse depicts a Cuban revolutionary scene and symbolic imagery reflecting Che Guevara’s role in the Cuban Revolution, including national motifs and ornamental designs.
Printed on cotton-based paper, the note includes a watermark, security thread, and fine-line microprinting.
