The 10 Egyptian Pounds 2023 is part of the new polymer banknote series issued by the Central Bank of Egypt to modernize the currency and improve durability and security.
On the obverse, it features the Mosque of Al-Fattah Al-Aleem, located in the New Administrative Capital, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. The design reflects Egypt’s contemporary Islamic architecture and national pride.
The reverse shows a statue of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Ancient Egypt’s most prominent female pharaohs, along with geometric and lotus-inspired patterns that connect modern design with Pharaonic heritage.
Security features include transparent polymer windows, microtext, color-shifting ink, tactile elements for the visually impaired, and enhanced holographic details.
