The 88 Cents 2022 banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Fiji as a commemorative note celebrating a special national event.
The obverse features a portrait of Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna (1888–1958), the celebrated Fijian chief, soldier, and statesman, honoring his legacy in Fiji’s history.
The reverse depicts Fiji’s cultural and natural heritage, including tropical flora, marine life, and motifs representing national pride and traditions.
The note is printed on polymer, with a transparent window, watermark of Ratu Sukuna, and other advanced security features.
