The 10 Dalasis 2005 banknote was issued by the Central Bank of The Gambia as part of the updated Dalasi series.
The obverse features a portrait of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, the first President of The Gambia, along with the national coat of arms and decorative security patterns.
The reverse depicts a fishing scene on the Gambia River, representing the country’s reliance on fishing for local livelihoods and economic activity.
The note is printed on cotton-based paper and includes a watermark of Sir Dawda Jawara, a security thread, and microprinting for anti-counterfeiting protection.
