The 5 Dalasis 2015 banknote was issued by the Central Bank of The Gambia as part of the modern Dalasi series.
The obverse features a portrait of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, the first President of The Gambia, along with the national coat of arms and decorative security patterns.
The reverse depicts groundnut harvesting, highlighting one of the country’s most important agricultural products.
The note is printed on cotton-based paper and includes a watermark of Sir Dawda Jawara, a windowed security thread, and microprinting.
