The 3 Lari 1993 banknote was part of Georgia’s first lari series issued by the National Bank of Georgia after independence. This unusual denomination was short-lived and is considered highly collectible today.
The obverse shows traditional Georgian ornaments and symbolic motifs representing the country’s cultural identity.
The reverse depicts architectural and artistic patterns inspired by medieval Georgia, reflecting its religious and historical heritage.
Printed with simple security features and pastel colors, it was later replaced as the currency system stabilized.
