Kyrgyzstan 50 Som 2024 UNC Banknote
The Kyrgyzstan 50 Som 2024 banknote was introduced into circulation on 15 February 2024 by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the country’s Fifth Series of banknotes, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Som. The design preserves the iconic portrait and reverse illustration of previous issues while incorporating advanced anti-counterfeiting technology.

Historical Background
The Fifth Series was launched between 2023 and 2024 to modernize Kyrgyzstan’s circulating banknotes without changing their cultural identity. The 50 Som denomination entered circulation alongside the new 20 and 100 Som notes on 15 February 2024.
The updated series introduces a new three-level security system while maintaining the portraits of important national figures and historic monuments that have become symbols of Kyrgyzstan.
