The 10 Rubles banknote was issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus on 1 January 2000, as part of the “second ruble” series, which replaced 1,000 old rubles with 1 new ruble. The obverse features the National Library of Belarus in Minsk, displayed in a lilac and blue color scheme. The design includes detailed guilloché patterns and ornamental frames around the denomination.
On the reverse, a large ornamental rosette with the numeral “10” is centered, surrounded by security patterns and inscriptions declaring penalties for counterfeiting. The banknote is printed on cotton paper and includes a hexagonal-pattern watermark and red UV-fluorescent fibers, but it does not include a security thread.
The note measures 110 x 60 mm and remained in circulation until 31 March 2014, when it was replaced by a newer series.
