The 100 Rubles banknote was issued on 25 May 1992 by the National Bank of Belarus as part of the first post-Soviet “first ruble” series. The obverse features a European elk (moose) in a natural standing pose, framed by stylized guilloché designs in light violet and pink tones.
The reverse presents the Pahonia coat of arms, showing a mounted knight holding a sword and shield—an important historical emblem of Belarus—surrounded by intricate patterns. This note is printed on 100% cotton paper by Goznak (Russia), includes a braided “S” watermark, and contains red UV-fluorescent fibers, but has no security thread.
It measures 105 x 53 mm and was withdrawn from circulation on 1 January 2001.
