Issued on 28 November 1986 by the Central Bank of Bolivia under Law 901, this 10 Bolivianos note is part of the “Second Boliviano” series introduced that year. The obverse features a portrait of the painter Cecilio Guzmán de Rojas alongside the national coat of arms. The background includes multicolor underprint patterns with dominant blue, pink, and light-green tones, and a solid security thread with demetalized “BCB” text.
The reverse shows the Heroínas de la Coronilla monument in Cochabamba and a cityscape view. Printed on cotton paper, this note also includes a watermark of Simón Bolívar, microprinting, and dispersed security fibers.
The note measures 140 × 69 mm and was printed by either Oberthur (France) or De La Rue (UK) in variants released between 1986 and 1998
