The 2 Piso 1974 banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas).

The obverse features a portrait of Andrés Bonifacio (1863–1897), revolutionary leader and founder of the Katipunan movement against Spanish colonial rule. The design also includes the Katipunan seal.

The reverse depicts the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan, an important site in Philippine history where the First Philippine Congress convened and the Malolos Constitution was drafted.

The note includes a security thread and watermark for authenticity.
