The Namibia 10 Dollars 2025 Pick 16c banknote forms part of the new generation of Namibian currency launched by the Bank of Namibia during its 35th anniversary celebrations in 2025. The upgraded banknotes were officially issued into circulation on 30 September 2025.
The new N$10 retains the familiar portrait of Dr. Sam Nujoma and the springbok theme while introducing an upgraded hybrid substrate, refined artwork and modern security features.
Presented in UNC (Uncirculated) condition, this is a particularly interesting issue for collectors because it represents the first major redesign of Namibia’s circulating banknotes in more than a decade.
Historical Background
The 2025 upgraded series was unveiled on 23 July 2025 by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as part of the Bank of Namibia’s 35th anniversary. It was developed under the theme “Our Currency, Our Heritage, Our Pride – Meet the Next Generation of the Namibia Dollar.”
Rather than completely abandoning Namibia’s established banknote identity, the new series modernises the existing themes. The 10 Dollars continues to honour Sam Nujoma, who led Namibia to independence and served as its first President.
